    I understand where you are. I was there while building up my telecom reseller business back in 1999.

    I had sleepless nights wondering where my next customer was going to come from.

    My prospecting was “old school,” and while I was very good at it, it didn’t allow me to scale because I was the only one who was capable of doing it (or so I believed at the time).

    Salespeople came and went, and most were a disappointment. I had no idea how to recruit good salespeople, train them, and retain them. I’d hire and hope they’d stick.  And that became expensive and time-consuming.
    My soul was tired from all the coping. I nearly gave up a few times. But having gotten married and started a new family, I knew that I had no choice but to become successful.

    I knew I needed to create a killer revenue-generating machine that could extend beyond just one guy (me) and be run by a competent team.  So, with the help of some amazing mentors and honest feedback from customers, I took a hard look at what I was doing wrong.

    We dissected what was working and what wasn’t. I had some blind spots, believe me.

    However, I finally had my EUREKA moment!

    I figured out the exact process I needed to grow my revenue without burning out by doing it all myself. And I worked out exactly how to find the right people to help me. And then I researched the best marketing and sales technology stack needed to run it all.

    I FINALLY had a scalable system—PLAN, PEOPLE, PROCESS and PLATFORM—that allowed my company to grow beyond my wildest dreams and, most importantly, gave me the time I needed to spend quality time with my wife, kids, and other interests – like running a triathlon and mentoring at-risk youth.

    It was like magic.

    With a humming revenue machine in place, it was time to expand. I merged that successful telecom venture into a corporate relocation business in 2006. I implemented my system in the new company, and it royally kicked butt again.
